Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.

Gamze DÜŞMEZ
Gamze Dusmez was born on 1968 in Ankara. She graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Education, English Language Teaching Department in 1990.
She studied Mass Communications at Leicester University (UK) in 1990-1991. She started her career as a correspondent at Anadolu News Agency’s Foreign News Department in Ankara in 1992. After years of journalism, she appointed coordinator to Foreign Relations department of the news agency.
She retired after a succesful professional life in 2011.
She is the president of Ski Club of International Journalists’ (SCIJ) Turkey branch. And she continues to work as a free lance journalist. She is also an active member of Turkey Journalist Association’s Foreign Relations Board. She is fond of sports, animals and green. She has a daughter.
