Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
About TED
TED is a global foundation devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then, its scope has become ever broader.
With its two annual conferences, video website TED.com, initiatives and community projects, TED is now a platform and a global movement focused on meaningful change through the power of ideas.

Şebnem BAYKAL
Sebnem was born in 1970, Ankara. She has got her BSc. Degree in Electronical Engineering from METU. As post graduate studies she has completed MBA and Masters at Warwick Business School, UK. She is a lifetime learner and continues her education via Coursera.
She has over 15 years of professional experience mostly in the Information Technologies industry, acquired at multinational companies. She has worked with a large number of clients in various industries,both public and private, in the areas of consultancy, training and business development. In our era, where IT redefines the way businesses are conducted, her major area of interest is technology driven innovation and entrepreneurship. This is where she encountered TED, and her journey of TEDx, started with the TEDxAnkaraCitadel Curriculum Vitae.
