BERRİN BENLİ
Berrin was born in 1963 in Ankara. She has BSc degree of Computer Engineering from METU (Middle East Technical University) in 1986; she has been student of University of Phoenix, Arizona (Exec.MBA, Global Management Program) in 2005.
Benli has over 30 years of business experience in ICT industry in the fast pace MNCs (like Oracle Corp, Intel Corp.) and local giant system integrators and software development companies. During her 12 years of tenure with Oracle Corporation, she held various Executive Management roles both at Regional levels (EMEA-Europe, Middle East & Africa) covering 35 countries, and Global levels (US, EMEA, APAC). In year 2000, she was recognized by the Turkish IT media as the first international woman executive of Turkey- appointed by e-Europe Middle East Africa Region in IT Business Industry. When she was leading Innovation Centre of Intel in Turkey, she led successful large scale longer-term concept projects.
She is the co-founder of “NOVUSENS - Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute” which is the 1st "Think Tank" organization of Turkey specialized in Science, Technology and Innovation that is independent and for-profit delivering professional services on innovation and entrepreneurship to foster “sustainable development". Berrin has established "Big Data Institute" of NOVUSENS in 2013 and "Smart City Institute" of NOVUSENS in 2014 to support ICT Innovation field. She is also the co-founder of "IDE Consulting" which delivers professional ICT services on high-tech industries.
ARZU SİBEL İKİNCİ
She is a graduate student in Bilkent University Graduate School of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She wrote a thesis on the “Salient Components of Massive Open Online Courses as Revealed in Scholarly Publications”. She graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Management, Department of Economy in 1987. Worked in IT sector as sales representative, training specialist, training director. Joined Bilkent University in February 1996. She appointed Assistant Chair of the Business Information Management Department in 2005. She completed Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Certification Program. She coordinated European Union Project on the behalf of Bilkent University named TEPEK-Turkey’s Participation in the European Knowledge Economy. She gave seminars, prepared case studies and had some book chapters. She is lecturing on Business Computer Applications, Web Based Application Development, and Industrial Training Project.
MELTEM KOCAMUSTAFAOĞULLARI
Meltem Kocamustafaoğulları is born in İstanbul, Turkey in 1966. She graduated from Computer Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in 1987 and completed her masters degree in Information Technologies.
She worked as IT manager in AT&T and as senior IT consultant in Deloitte and Touche in World Bank funded projects. She is co-founder of KMO Information Systems AŞ and has taken technical roles as well as project management in numerous middle to large scale projects for public and private sectors and provided many trainings.
She has over 25 years of sector experience, her areas of expertise include; data base management systems, software implementation life cycle, quality assurance, IT strategies, information security management systems, verification and validation and management of IT projects.
She is currently executive manager at KMO and contributing as team leader and project management in the European Union funded projects which are lead by KMO or KMO is consortium partner and having technology components.
TAYFUN GÜNAL
I was born in Ankara. I have a BS degree in Computer Engineering. I have a professional experience in Telecommunication Systems as a Data Analyst.
I like to contribute to the TED organizations and I like to translate subtitles. I have a special interest in Neuro Science and Artifical Intelligence.
ŞÜKRAN ŞAHİN
Şükran Şahin was born in Bartın. She worked as a painting and art history teacher for 20 years in Karabük where she also participated in numerous volunteary facilities. She worked as a visual arts teacher in İ.D.V Bilkent Primary School for 17 years. She hosted 16 private exhibitions and participated in various group exhibitions. Her works are part of Turkish and international collections. She has illustrated books and written articles on her subject. She writes for two travel websites. Nowadays she works in her own studio (Dream House). She is the general secretary of the Visual Arts Education Foundation (GÖRSED). She has actively involved in art events and children festivals organised by voluntary organizations like SEDER (Art Educators Association) and GÖRSED. She did various presentations and seminars on her subject, participated in international art projects. She was selected as the visual arts teacher of the year 2006 by GÖRSED.
EBRU DİLAN
Ebru Dilan is instructor of Management Information Systems (MIS), Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at the Kadir Has University, since 2012. Her special focus is on project management, software development methods & techniques, agile software development, digital transformation & innovation and better teaching & instructional technologies. Before joining to Kadir Has University, she worked as instructor at Bilkent University, School of Applied Technology and Management, Department of Business Information Management between 1997 and 2012. During her 15 years of tenure with Bilkent University, she received “The Distinguished Teacher for the Year 2010 Award”. She is qualified for visiting Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland for the framework of Erasmus-Teaching Staff Mobility in year 2010. Before joining to Bilkent University, she had worked in the industry as technical expert carrying project coordination, project planning, monitoring and controlling between 1993 and 1997. She has BSc degree of Geological Engineering from Hacettepe University in 1993; MBA degree from Atılım University in 2007.
ŞEBNEM BAYKAL
Şebnem was born in 1970, Ankara. She has got her BSc. Degree in Electronical Engineering from METU. She has completed MBA and MSc in Operations Research at Warwick Business School, UK. She has over 20 years of professional experience mostly in the Information Technologies industry, acquired at multinational companies. She has worked with a large number of clients in various industries, both public and private, in the areas of consultancy, training, business development and sales.
In our era, where IT redefines the way businesses are conducted, her major area of interest is technology driven innovation and entrepreneurship. This is where she encountered TED, and she enjoys the lifetime journey that started with the TEDxAnkaraCitadel Curriculum Vitae.
